Promotion and attraction is essential to tackling the skills shortage and the lack of diversity in rail. However, many potential candidates are simply not aware of the scope of job opportunities available in rail.
That’s why the rail sector collaborated to form Routes into Rail in 2020. Routes into Rail and NSAR are partnering with Entrepreneurs in Action to set a challenge for students from Walthamstow Hall, to create innovative approaches to encourage young individuals to consider careers in the rail industry.
The students will work together to develop marketing collateral and describe the methods and channels they will use to engage their peers.
They will then present in front of a panel chaired by NSAR and comprised of executives from Network Rail, HS2, Siemens, VolkerRail, and The Rail Industry Association.
We look forward to hearing from our students next week!
